Hiller Orthodontics has served the northern New Hampshire communities from Littleton to Laconia for more than two decades. Most recently though, Hiller Orthodontics has expanded its service capabilities in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. "While our new facility is under rennovation this summer we are treating patients with a little extra attention and doing our best to help put patients at ease." says founder, Dr. Dennis Hiller. We had the recent pleasure of meeting many outstanding new patients at a speical patient day just last month. It really was a touching experience to answer questions but it was apparent that we had patients who were midway in treatment and they were unsure of what that might mean for them. To lighten the mood and kick off the summer, we decided now would be a great time to kickoff our annual iPad Sweepstakes. Our iPad Sweepstakes is open not just to our patients but their friends and family. We really do have a great network of relationships and it is a great honor to provide an open forum for kids and parents to see what people in other nearby towns are up to.

For many of our patient's who have received treatment in Littleton, Berlin or St. Johnsbury over the past several years, Lisa Montminy was likely a cornerstone of that treatment process. Lisa, a 20 plus year employee of Hiller Orthodontics has become a part of a working "family". While this work family is not bound by blood we do often share our hopes and fears with our colleagues. The favorite topic for many of us is sharing the accomplishments of the children in our lives. When Lisa told us that her daughter, Linda Lee Montminy had her sights on becoming a top candidate for the 2012 Miss New Hampshire pagent we immediately wanted to help and thought many of our friends and colleagues would as well.

Linda Lee Montminy is the 2012 Berlin-Gorahm and we have come to know her as an outstanding young woman with a very bright future ahead of her. St. Johnsbury is a community which Hiller Orthodontics has served through a "satellite" facility for several years. On April 6th 2012, Dr. Dennis Hiller and his team made the commitment to serve St. Johnsbury and the surrounding townships as a full service office through the aquisition of Dr. Brian McClellan's orthodontic practice. While we wish Dr. McClellan well in his pursuits, this transaction really represents a win for everyone involved.

We are excited about the opportunity as it will ultimately expand our on-site treatment resources and adds convenience for our patients. We look forward to continuing the treatment of Dr. McClellan's former patients as his expertise as an orthodontist is respected and the people of St. Johnsbury and the surrounding area have always been so supporting. Former patients need not worry as they will be cared for by a great team that has worked together for some time.

Dr. Hiller and his St. Johnsbury clinical staff will begin seeing these new patients immediately and will begin conducting state-of-the-art renvoation throughout the summer. Hiller Orthodontics will be holding an "Open House" on Monday April 23rd at its present St. Johnsbury location at 161 Western Ave. to provide patients and their families an opportunity to become acquainted with us.

Hiller Orthodontics was pleased by its initial successe at its first Invisalign promotion held March 6th in Plymouth. The real challenge is yet to come as Dr. Hiller and staff gear up to host patient days in addition to these Invisalign event appointments as the month comes to a close. The next two events are:

After more than 20 years, it is refreshing to report that this activity is not a gimmick but a sincere attempt to hep as many people as possible. Not one for the spotlight, Dr. Hiller remains steadfast in his mission to provide the highest possible level of orthodontic care to people throughout northern New Hampshire and his staff are all behind him. "The anticipated attendence of young people at our St. Johnsbury, VT location looks to be really impressive this year.", states Linda MacEachern, Practice Manager at Hiller Orthodontics. "While St. Johnsbury is quickly filling up, there are still appointments available in Conway."

Patients are reminded that If the ideal date and location do not match their schedule, any interested participants are encouraged to schedule their screening at the most compatible location for a screening and enrollment. The maintenance of treatment will be conducted at the most convenient location for the patient and the $500 discount is only applicable during an event appointment.

Its that special time of year again, where Dr. Dennis Hiller and his staff select a former or current patient for its Smilemaker Scholarship!

The Smilemaker Endowment Fund was established by Dr. Hiller to support and recognize former and existing patients who, through community service, “put a smile on someone’s face”.  Dr. Hiller has served as an orthodontist throughout the communities of Conway, Laconia, Littleton and Plymouth for serveral years in and treated 100's of young people. It has been his mentoring of young professionals and involvement in New Hampshire communities that Dr. Hiller values most heavily though. Dr Hiller sees the Smilemaker Scholarship as another way to contribute to the communities he serves and to provide opportunity to aspiring students.  This award can be used as a scholarship for college, vocational school, or directed to any charity the recipient chooses.  It is administered by the Dollars for Scholars organization, and the recipient receives all the benefits this organization provides as well.

The Reach the Beach Relay is a 200+ mile with the purpose of raising funds for Alzheimer research. Hiller Orthodontics was proud to sponsor this team as it took incredible determination and commitment to finish such a long race.

The Reach the Beach Relay adventure began in Franconia Notch State Park at Cannon Mountain Ski Area, not far from our Conway office and concluding on the Atlantic Ocean at Hampton Beach State Park.

Many families may not be aware, but October has quietly become a month of healthy awareness. Millions rally behind Breast Cancer Awareness efforts each October but known to fewer people is that October is also National Orthodontic Health Month. Members of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) typically utilize this time to conduct activities that educate the public about proper oral hygiene and the preservation of a child’s orthodontic treatment during Halloween.

Striving to be anything but “typical”, Dr. Dennis Hiller and the team at Hiller Orthodontics have lead a multi-community candy drive come to be known as “Treats for Troops. Treats for Troops was created six years ago as a means to engage communities in orthodontic friendly, healthy food choices while providing something special for troops stationed both locally and abroad. Dr. Hiller feels that Treats for Troops is a real win-win situation.  “Our patients and friends can limit their intake of excessive sweets and our troops will know we are still thinking of them.  We are thrilled we can lift their spirits.”

Hiller Orthodontics has conducted the “Treats for Troops” program for over six years. With the unanimous support of northern communities like Laconia, Conway, Littleton, Plymouth, Berlin, Wolfeboro and St. Johnsbury, over 3,000 lbs. of candy have been redistributed. Last year alone more than 500 lbs. of candy was collected and redistributed. This year’s community efforts include collection bins at several local schools including Lancaster, Whitefield, Gorham, Berlin, Conway and Laconia. Dr. Dennis Hiller and the Hiller Orthodontics  team have successfully concluded the clinic's first-ever iPad Giveaway contest. This groundbreaking iPad giveaway was not isolated to Dr. Hiller's patients or to his primary clinic locations in Laconia, Conway or Littleton. Rather, eligibility for entry was expanded to all living in New Hampshire and Vermont.  What made this contest special was that it was intended specifically to engage our patients, their friends and their families. Entry rules and marketing for this contest were all done by word of mouth using Facebook as the forum of choice for publishing the event.  Seeing so many people participate in such a short time really helped us to realize just how many kids and families we've helped over the years.
